A little bit of everything.........

This weekend didn't yield any sewing or quilting on my part.  Ever have one of those days or weekends?

These pics are from projects finished for some of my customers last week.

I had a quilt top, or should I say quilt tops and fabric, that one of my customers dropped off.  It started out as 2 small quilts meant for baby quilts.  After a while, she decided to make it a queen sized quilt for her guest room.  She brought it to me to make magic of the 2 small quilts and to make the whole thing queen sized.

First, I put the 2 halves together in the center.  Then I added some different width fabric borders.  As you can see in the pictures above, I repeated a block from the center of her quilt to add some interest, plus it made that fabric go further and then I had enough for the binding.  Her quilt ended up being queen sized with all the fabric she provided to work with.

Then I handed it off to Jeff who chose several quilting options for her to choose from for the quilting.  He did the quilting, and the design looks beautiful on it.  I finished up the binding and now it is ready for pick up.  She will be thrilled when she comes to pick up her quilt today.

Another customer has a daughter that is expecting twin girls.  She wanted some burp cloths for the new mother and babies with each of their names on them.  Not a great picture, but they are so precious and cute!  She loved them!

What have you been working on?  Share it here!

And, as always, if you need help with finishing a project, whether it be sewing some of it or all of it for you, or just the quilting, give us a call!  We would love to help you!

Happy Sewing and Quilting!

Eufaula quilt show

We ventured down to Eufaula today to attend their quilt show and meet up with some of Jeff's family.

We had a wonderful visit and a fun time at the quilt show.  Here are some of my favorite quilts at the show.
