I know I haven't posted anything these past 2 or 3 weeks.  I've spent the last 3 weeks going through my fabrics, cutting some into block pieces of select sizes, folding and cutting some into fat quarters.  I have dedicated a couple of drawers for just fat quarters as they had out grown my early fat quarter area of stash.  All while working on a quilt and my leaders and enders for a bonus quilt at the same time.

Dedication to cleaning up the scraps in my sewing studio and organizing my fabric and supplies. That is what this second half of this year will be.

I did get some pictures taken of the blocks I am working on.  They are posted below.  2-1/2" blocks in a plus sign.  I'm really not sure if this block has another name.  I'm not going to show you the leaders and enders blocks yet.  They are 1" finished sizes, all using scraps.

Do you see what design I am working on?  There are 2 of each block and there are more.  I haven't decided on the size of the quilt yet.  I may make more than one.  I have been using up scraps and these are 6" finished blocks.  I will choose some sashing fabric to go with these blocks.  I haven't checked for a color that dominates all of these blocks yet, but hoping I have something in my stash that will work.  Hoping it turns out pretty.

Do you see a color that jumps out to you?  What color would you sash these quilt blocks with to make it cohesive and pleasing?  I would love to hear your ideas.

Share what you are working on.  Even if it's organizing your stash.  I know it can't look worse than mine.  Mine has been stored in bins for years now.  No lids, just bins stacked in a closet......and, oh wait.....under the bed, under the cutting table, on top of the sewing table.  Well, you get the idea.  It's always a work in progress.

I always love to see what other colors and designs that other quilters do.  Nice to see the different colorways that others see.  And they are all beautiful!

Hope you all have a safe and Happy 4th of July weekend!  Think of the troops that fight for our freedom, who keep us safe.  Thank you! and..........

Happy Quilting!
Glenda
